Series 2, Episode 5: Podficcers of Color Roundtable Discussion 2

In this episode, the panel introduces two new members, dance and Luna, and discusses how they feel being a person of color impacts their work as podficcers and how they experience podfic fandom. They also discuss how world events are impacting discussions of racism in society and in fandom, and examples of anti-racism work in podfic fandom. Series 2, Episode 1: The Pleasures and Perils of Cold Reading Your Podfics

In this episode ItsADrizzit talks about cold reading podfic, why she does it and loves it, and why she sometimes wishes she didn't do it. It's a look into the process and how she approaches finding fic, reading fic, deciding to record a fic, and then actually recording that fic in a way that's a bit different than many podfic creators.

There is no need to sign up - Party Favours will have no check-ins, and no mod interaction until submission, unless you want it. We’ll give you everything you need to make a Party Favour right here, a submission deadline, and then it’s all yours! The Resources & Templates folder (where you can find Audacity screenshots, metadata, cover images, intro & outro WAV files, and everything else) is here:

Sun 19 Jul: Episode submission deadline

Sun 02 Aug: Weekly episode posting begins

There are two mandatory check-ins, and there will be discussion posts on this dreamwidth every month, which will double as non-mandatory, informal check-ins. Both of the mandatory check-ins, and the discussion posts will come with reminder emails.


If you sign up as a group, everybody will get an email at the mandatory check-ins, but as long as at least one person responds, we will consider your group checked-in. The person who answered will be responsible for making sure the whole group is on track.


Party favours do not have any check-ins, just the one submission deadline. However, the discussion posts are for everyone!
