It’s check-in time!

If you are signed up to make an Episode, you’ll have received an email from us. Please respond before Saturday 18th March if you are still participating in BtP. Groups who don’t reply will be moved to the Party Favour schedule (see the Party Favour rules for more details).

Now, on to the discussion! You can check in less formally here with us mods about any concerns you might have, talk ideas or issues through with other BtP participants, or share your excitement!

Here are a few questions for you to consider. No problem if you don’t have answers, or if they don’t apply to you! These discussion posts are also a prompt for you to think about things you may not have got around to:

  • Have you settled on a topic for your Episode? Has the theme changed or developed?
  • Have you recorded? How did you record, or how are you planning to?
  • If you have recorded, how much of your episode was improvised and how much was from prepared material? Are the results different to what you expected?
  • If you have recorded, who is editing? How is the editing going?
  • If you have edited, how is your finished different from your initial concept or idea?
  • If you’re part of a group, how have you been distributing the work between your group members?
  • What difficulties/hurdles are you foreseeing? What difficulties/hurdles have you met or managed so far?
  • Is there anything we can do to help, or anything you'd like us to know?

In the comments you can let us know how you're getting on, ask us questions, squee about your ideas, get cheerleading support from other participants, or anything else!

Welcome to the first discussion post of Series 5!

Here, you can check in with us mods regarding any concerns you might have, talk ideas or issues through with other BtP participants, or just share your excitement!

Here are a few questions for you to consider. No problem if you don’t know the answers yet! These discussion posts are also a prompt for you to think about things you may not have already got around to:

  • Do you know what topic/s your episode is going to be about? Have you settled on any broad or specific ideas, a particular project you have in mind, etc?
  • Which side of the improvisation versus reading-from-prepared-material spectrum are you the most comfortable on?
  • If you’re part of a group, how are you planning on distributing the work between you?
  • Particularly if you're part of a group, do you know how you're going to record your episode?
  • What difficulties/hurdles are you foreseeing?
  • Is there anything we can do to help, or anything you'd like us to know?

In the comments you can let us know how you're getting on, ask us questions, squee about your ideas, get cheerleading support from other participants, or anything else!
