Welcome to the FIFTH year of Behind the Pod! We can't wait to welcome you all back to another year of podfic meta, with a very slightly shorter timeline. Other than that, nothing much has changed from last time, so go ahead and get yourself signed up!

Behind the Pod is a podcast about the backstage processes of podfic, with audio essays, interviews, and other meta discussion by different podficcers each episode. You can find all previous episodes on our AO3 page.

12 Jan: Sign-ups open
29 Jan: Sign-ups close
12 Feb: Discussion post 1
12 - 18 Mar: Mandatory check-in (& discussion post 2)
02 Apr: Episode submission deadline
16 Apr: Weekly episode posting begins
14 May: Party Favour submission deadline
(Party Favours will be posted two weeks after all episodes have been published.)

Series 5: Party Favour Rules

Liked the idea of Behind the Pod but didn’t feel up to the full timeline? Have an idea but didn’t get around to making it happen? Missed an episode check-in or deadline? Want a low-commitment option? Party Favours might be for you!

There's no need to sign up - Party Favours will have no check-ins, and no mod interaction until submission unless you want it. We’ll give you everything you need to make a Party Favour right here, a submission deadline, and then it’s all yours! The Resources & Templates folder (where you can find Audacity screenshots, metadata, cover images, intro & outro WAV files, and everything else) is here:

Submission of Party Favours closes on 14th May.
All Party Favours will be published after all episodes have been published.
