Notes on signing up
- If you have something in mind but you’re not sure if it fits this project, please get in touch with us to discuss before signing up!
- By signing up, you’re agreeing to us adding an intro and outro to your interview with music, adding cover art, posting on AO3, and shouting about it on all our social media accounts. You have the option to use one of your icons/profile pics on the cover, please think about which one you’d like to send us and go about making sure you/we have permission to use it for this purpose.
- You can add participants to your group after signing up (just email us their details!), but we prefer to ask for everything we need now to avoid a last-minute scramble at deadline time!
Submission guidelines:
To submit your episode, complete THIS google form, and only send ONE form per group/person. You may submit your episode at any time before the deadline of 18 May.
The submission form asks for the following information:
Link to your fully edited WAV audio file
Name for your episode (optional)
An overview/summary of the topic(s) you covered
Choose one of the AO3 ratings for your episode (multiple choice)
Choose one or more of the AO3 Archive Warnings for your episode (multiple choice)
Include any additional tags which apply to your episode (optional)
What format/structure did your recording take (for example: interview, solo meta, roundtable discussion, Q&A session, etc)?
Do you consent to your episode being hosted and broadcast on a podcast platform if, in the future, Behind the Pod ever makes the decision to use a podcasting platform?
Attach the icons or profile pics you want us to use for the cover art (with necessary permission) (optional)
If there are any additional LINKS you would like to add to the AO3 post, please include them (you may also add these directly to the AO3 post after we make you a co-creator) (optional)
If there are any additional NOTES you would like to add to the AO3 post, please include them (you may also add these directly to the AO3 post after we make you a co-creator) (optional)
Notes on submitting your episode
- We will be adding an intro and outro with music to your episode, so please don’t add music to the start and end of your episode! We’ll also be introducing your episode based on the summary you include with your submission, so to avoid repetition please try not to start your episode with a similar introduction! You can listen to any previous episode to hear what our introductions sound like.
- PLEASE make sure that your AO3 account is set to allow you to receive co-creator requests, as we can't add you as a co-creator to the AO3 work unless you do. More detail about that here: https://archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/13694
- If you would like to add a transcript to your episode at any point, please add the text as a separate chapter.
- We will be encouraging people to leave audio comments (aka talkback) as a way to contribute to the discussion, and some commenters may also be doing that on a dedicated Dreamwidth discussion post for your episode, which will go live closer to the posting date, and will be linked on your AO3 post. You may wish to turn on alerts for this post to keep track of any discussion.
Please feel free to ask questions in replies here, but do not sign up by replying to this post! You can only sign up by sending us THIS google form, and only ONE form for each group.
